Paul P. Creech

The founder of Creech Law Firm, Paul has more than 30 years’ experience in negotiating and closing the purchase and sale of businesses as well as helping clients develop plans for estate and family wealth transfers, representing clients in tax matters, handling guardianships, drafting special needs trusts and estate administration.

With exceptional knowledge of real estate law, Paul has represented commercial developers engaged in shopping center developments, marinas, office complexes, condominiums and open lands. He is the author of Basic Probate in North Carolina, and Sophisticated Section 1031 (like-kind) Transactions. He has spoken frequently on continuing legal education topics including tax-free exchanges, ethics, probate and estate administration and has often been hired by other law firms as co-counsel regarding business law and ethical issues.

Paul earned his Masters of Laws degree (LL.M.) in estate planning from the University of Miami in 1978. He was graduated from the University of South Carolina in 1977, where he earned his Juris Doctorate, and from the University of North Carolina in 1974, having received his B.A. degree in political science and journalism. He is licensed to practice in North Carolina and Georgia and is a member of the North Carolina Bar Association and its sections on Tax Law, Business Law, Real Property Law and Estate Planning and Fiduciary Law. Paul has achieved an AV rating among his peers, classifying him as “preeminent” in his fields of law. His representative clients include Anheuser-Busch wholesale distributorships in North Carolina and Georgia.

A firm believer in client-centered practice, Paul lives in Raleigh, North Carolina, and has been a long-term, active member and elder at White Memorial Presbyterian Church in Raleigh.
